According to Hagg, there are two things you can do as foundational steps: determine a “why” and develop a budget.
“A why is your powerful motivator, and it’s got to be powerful because you want to change. So, for example, maybe your marriage is struggling and you’re fighting over money because it’s the number one cause of divorce. Or maybe you just want a different life for your family and a different legacy, so having that why motivates you,” Hagg said.
