What Trump actually agreed to was the following:
Trump may, or may not have asked James Comey for his loyalty, but if he did, Trump didn’t ask Comey to put his hand on the Bible when Comey’s allegiance was requested.

Here is a German quote:
Überprüfen lässt sich das nicht, denn das Internet bleibt abgeschaltet. Der Sicherheit im Land werde alles geopfert, hieß es zur Begründung.

The day after the color revolution in Bangladesh, Mohammed Yunus, founder of the Grameen bank, a darling of the west, and a favorite of the Clinton foundation was coronated as “Chief advisor” to the new interim government. To understand the man, and how he will govern in Bangladesh, it is important to understand his history.
Before occupying his newest role as Bangladeshi Juan Guaido, Mohammed Yunus rose to fame in the 1990s, for his Grameen bank, a bank whose purpose was to give micro-loans to poor people. It eventually expanded to create a cottage industry with his Grameen Telecom, Grameen Fisheries, Grameen Danone Food and more!
In his effort to promote the Grameen Bank, Mohammed Yunus has made outrageous claims about his micro-loan program. He once said, Poverty will be eradicated in a generation. Our children will have to go to a `poverty museum’ to see what all the fuss was about.
Even after 40 years of founding his ‘revolutionary’ institution, Bangladesh remains as poor as ever with 71.4% of the population living on less than $5.50 a day, while 1.3 million children are engaged in child labor. Sadly, people in Bangladesh experience poverty first-hand, and life, itself, is the poverty museum.

this is a very liberal demand which is like can you at least disclose the people know and I think that’s really where you give the game away because if they did that they would be far far less funded and far less influential because they kind of nominal or widely perceived neutrality or or kind of Academia Sheen or branding is what gives them power

In their recent podcast, Adam Johnson asks that journalists and “Think Tanks” dislose the interests of their funders, arguing
that if they did, most think tanks would go away because the enterprise serves as a giant information laundering operation:

When I told my Mom I was trying to contact Ken Klippenstein. She remarked “That sounds like a Russian-Mennonite name!”
I told her he’s a nepo baby, but I don’t care because he brings the receipts

I’m working on an App to help writers to build trust with readers who are skeptical of their journalism, but persuadable. The App showcases the context of their sources in a visible way, differentiating their work from “mainstream” media. The App doesn’t require the reader to leave the existing article and visit a new page to read the documentation or video. The App reads YouTube video transcripts and enables writers to include an unlimited number of citations per article, whereas there is limited space to embed videos or document within an article.
Besides bringing the receipts, writers can also use the tool expressively: Imagine citing a Jack Nicholson quote that (many) people are already familiar with: You can’t handle the truth
!
Electronic writing has added emoticons, animated GIFs, audio and video to the new writing medium.
I’m seeking to get feedback from readers and from writers. I’m especially interested in hearing from Ken because his practice of journalism already brings “the receipts” and has someone edit his work. 1
I’m a computer programmer and History major, (and Russian-Mennnonite) working on a citation tool I call CiteIt .

I have 5 interview questions for Ken. An important part is understanding whether I need change anything to take into account his Workflow and Editorial process.↩

In the Citizens United case, Justice Anthony Kennedy raised concerns that corporate knowledge would be lost if corporations were unable to engage in speech (political donations): Government silences a corporate objector, and those corporations may have the most knowledge of this on the subject. Corporations have lots of knowledge about environment, transportation issues, and you are silencing them during the election.
This argument is as artificial as classical economics’ concept of Homo Economicus because it ignores how humans and society actually function.
In reality, when corporations “speak” to provide their “knowledge‘, it isn’t to distribute publications about the environment that their scientists discovered when they studied global warming. Rather, it means that they pay money to political front groups that pay political consultants to create 30-second ads on a completely different wedge issue, like gay marriage or CRT or DEI.
